February  2009 - April 2009

Welcome to The King's Community Church Website!

The children at the  orphanage are doing well. Have you considered sponsoring a child in the Philippines? There are currently 17  children that desperately  need a sponsor. Please check out the Sponsor A Child In Need web page or click on the link to the King's Community House of Refuge or the KJBI House of Refuge to see their pictures. If you have sponsored a child in the Philippines, tell a friend and share with them the blessing of sponsoring a child. That is the best testimony!! So be sure to take a look.

I will be going to the Philippines April 13 - 24, 2009  and if you have cards or letters for the children that you have sponsored, I would be more than happy to deliver them  personally.

Blessings to all of you.

John Knight

Special Thanks!

I would like to thank the  World Craniofacial Foundation and  Doctor Samuel Noordhoff, the Director of the  Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation who have generously helped  Mary "Reany" Joy Delaquinon's medical condition in the Philippines. Mary Joy is a six year old girl who lives in the mountain region of Mindanao and has a  Frontonasal  Sincipiral  Encephalocle. Thank you for your prayers for Mary Joy and let us continue to pray for her full recovery from the upcoming surgeries. The World Craniofacial Foundation and the Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation tremendously helped in getting medical treatment  for her condition.

Seeing With the Eyes Of Jesus

Recently I was working in a Special Ed Classroom  in one of our local High Schools and I noticed that a student  had written on her arm "I have ADHD." At first I really didn't think much of it and then the Spirit began to speak to me. I saw all the of the students with signs like tatoos on their visble hands, arms, and faces that told the world what was wrong with them. Special Education has always been a challenge for our society. The Spirit reminded me of a scripture that I couldn't let go of. Matthew 9:36 says, "Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and despirited, like sheep without a shepherd." Then Jesus tells His disciples that the harvest is plentiful (Matt. 9:37) And gives his Disciples authority over unclean spirits and to heal every kind of sickness (Matt. 10:1). Then Jesus names His disciples (Matt. 10:2- 5). Jesus says to them; "And as you go , preach, saying, ' The kingdom of heaven is at hand,' Heal the Sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give." (Matt. 10:7-8).   A shepherd is a description of a person who has a heart  felt concern for the well being of  other people and their needs. We are all called to care about people and to pray for them. We are  called to pray for all people. We are all called to reach out to people  Everyone that has been  filled with Jesus,  we need to ask Him to give us  the same vision or sight that He has and we read about in  Matt. 9:36. "Give us your eyes that we may see what you see, Jesus." Amen!
