Testimonies Of The Children

My name is Vincent A. Sencida. I am 14 years old. I can play the drums and I am a top student in our class. There are five children in my family and I am the youngest. I’m  a baby Christian. I started going to church just last year September, 2006. I stopped going to school last year because my family is poor. I was in my 2nd year in school. So for a time I was out of school.  I help with farming and do labor to raise money for my Grandma who is blind as well as my uncle, who is also disabled.
I Praise and thank God for your Sponsorship at The King’s Community House of Refuge so that I am  able to study and have a place to stay. . Although I don’t know you personally, thank you so much for sponsoring me. I always pray to God that He will pour out His blessing on you. If it wasn’t for you, I would not be able to go to school.

I’m Mildred Garcia. I am so thankful to God that He placed me in your hearts. Thanks so much for sending me to school. And I can have my bags , notebook and uniforms and I can go to school everyday. How I wish that I can meet you personally.  May God bless you more.

My name is Roberly Juela and  I am 15 years old. I am in my 3rd year of high school. I thank God for giving me a talent to sing and also the wisdom. I am in the top 10 of my class and I also lead worship at church. My father is a farmer and my mom has no job. My parents couldn’t  afford to send me to school. They wanted  me to stop going to school.  I thank God for using people to help me .  I thought that its only by dreams that I can achieve the ambitions I have for my  life, but now it’s a reality. God is good. This thing that you have done for us will not be forgotten. Thanks for helping the Filipino kids. My prayer is that I can go to college.

KING'S COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER AND HOUSE OF REFUGE
                                            Pastor "Eddie" Deita

The King"s Community Learning Center and House of Refuge  is located in Buena Vista, Curuan, Zamboanga City. We thank God for The King's Community Church who shares the same vision with us; to reach our community through education and providing a place of refuge for at risk and abandoned children. The learning center is from Nursery to Kinder II and is attended by children who  are from less fortunate families in our our community. Through the learning center we are able to minister to  Muslim children and their families.  The house of refuge  is just now beginning to  provide a place for children to have a christian home.
Please continue to pray for this ministry.

About The King's Community Learning Center and House of Refuge
                                                         John Knight

On a missionary trip to the Philippines in November 2000, I visited Pastor Newdel's King Jesus Fellowship Church in Buena Vista. I was the speaker that sunday.  As the church filled I couldn't help but notice all the children that were in the congregation with their mother and dads'. After the message, The Lord spoke to me, "PRAY FOR THE CHILDREN."  We spent over an hour praying for each child and blessing them. That sunday a seed in the Spirit was sown...
In August  2004, we broke ground on a building project called  the King's Community Learning Center and House Of Refuge.
Now in 2007, the project is 99% complete. In April 2005, the first class of 45 children graduated from the Learning  Center. I was blessed to be there. In November  2006 we dedicated the building and the ministries that God has raised up in this special place on earth. Truly God is faithful and His word tells us  He is faithful to complete that which he has started.
The King's Community Learning Center and House of Refuge been recognized by the local community and officials in Zamboanga City for the quality of education as well as its “open door” policy. Interesting to note that the people are attracted to the name as well.  It has also become an effective tool for outreach, especially to muslim families because of the Christian curriculum and the Christian love of the teachers who are all graduates from King Jesus Bible Institute. Children are taught bible songs and are assigned to go home and sing their new songs to their parents. What a witness to the power of God.
